Our core values provide a framework of behavior and a set of guidelines for the operation of the Gillion Academy ensuring that not only is our overall mission upheld, but that we create an environment conducive for elite training and academic excellence.  All of us as stakeholders – athletes, parents, coaches, trainers, administrators and support staff – agree to take responsibility to develop the physical and mental character of the student athlete into a person that upholds our core values and overall mission.

HARD WORK involves dedication, persistence and effort towards our goal.  We are all fully invested in the overall mission to develop our student athletes into elite basketball players while excelling in all academic endeavors.  We agree to always give 100% effort in the classroom and on the basketball court, even when faced with obstacles, setbacks or challenges.  We agree to put in the necessary time and energy to complete tasks and achieve goals.  The Gillion Academy will challenge athletes to always go their hardest, try their best, and  go above and beyond what is required.

ACCOUNTABILITY means taking responsibility for one’s actions, progress and outcomes.  We do not make excuses or blame others for our missteps and acknowledge that we are solely responsible for our success through our own HARD WORK.  We embrace the opportunity to answer for our own actions and continuously seek to learn, grow and improve.  Being accountable allows us to recognize the areas which require more work so that we constantly work towards improvement and growth.

LEADERSHIP means developing the proper work ethic, character and integrity to uplift those around you.  The motto for the Gillion Academy is Non Ducor Duco – Never Led I Lead.  A Gillion Academy Leader will always be the hardest worker in the gym and in the classroom.  A Gillion Academy Leader will always take ownership of one’s actions and be aware of their impact on others on the team.  A Gillion Academy Leader will set the example that empowers others to succeed.
