Welcome to the Gillion Academy for Academic Excellence!

The Gillion Academy for Academic Excellence, a 501(c)(3) organization operating as part of the KennyMax Foundation, believes in a holistic approach to academic and athletic development.  We are the only program in the DMV area to offer the combination of basketball training from Division I and professional coaches, accredited education from licensed teachers and elite team competition (local, national and international) under one roof in a fully-equipped facility. 

We focus on providing a 360-degree program for our student athletes with equal emphasis on academic success, life skills training and an elite basketball program for middle school, high school and prep school players.  Our passionate leadership team, composed of licensed teachers/education professionals and former Division I/professional coaches and players, has a proven record of development that has drawn players, parents and coaches into a family atmosphere that provides an incubator for success.

The Gillion family is well-known for their extensive reach throughout basketball circles, with roots in Florida that have now been firmly planted in the DMV area.  Their background in education and basketball, combined with the expertise of our professional staff, provides not only an unparalleled resource for players aspiring to reach the next level both in basketball and academically, but a better alternative for those who are not reaching their potential or gaining the proper exposure in other settings.  Our staff has collectively placed more than 200 athletes in college, with over 50 of those players going on to play professionally and countless others succeeding in all aspects of life.
